Our verdict is a simple rule on NEA's bands, not an official ruling lah. Organisers, follow your own haze plan and haze.gov.sg.

Singapore 5-Region Haze & Air Quality Grid

NEA reports five regions. Tap a region to make the caricature check that area. The big number is the latest 1-hour PM2.5, which reacts fastest. 24-hour PSI (NEA's official band) is the smaller row. Each card also shows rain now and the 2-hour forecast.

Weather, Forecast & Rain Radar

Good weather can ride, raining cannot lah. Forecast from NEA; radar is NEA's rain-area image drawn on a map.

Rain radar (Singapore)

Coloured patches = rain. Stronger colour = heavier rain. No colour = no rain detected.

4-day outlook

Weather data: NEA via data.gov.sg (rainfall, temperature, humidity, 2-hour, 24-hour and 4-day forecasts). Regions are matched from station and area coordinates, so borders are approximate.

Official NEA 24-Hour PSI Health Advisory & Color Bands (Daily Planning)

Use this to plan your day. The row marked Now is the island's highest 24-hour PSI right now.

1-hour PM2.5 bands (check right before you ride)

Advisory wording is paraphrased from NEA and MOH guidance. The "Ride plan" column is our own reading for cyclists, not NEA's. PSI colours follow NEA's scale as shown on public haze trackers; PM2.5 colours are this site's own. Always confirm at haze.gov.sg.

Data source & how we calculate

Data source

National Environment Agency (NEA), Singapore, published through the data.gov.sg Real-time API (PSI, PM2.5, rainfall, air temperature, relative humidity, 2-hour, 24-hour and 4-day forecast datasets) plus NEA's rain-area radar images. PSI and PM2.5 update hourly, rainfall every 5 minutes. This site is an independent project and is not run by or affiliated with NEA or the Singapore government.

What each number means

  • 24-hour PSI: NEA's unitless index from several pollutants over 24 hours.
  • 24-hour PM2.5: fine-particle average over 24 hours, in µg/m³.
  • 1-hour PM2.5: fine-particle level over the latest hour, in µg/m³. Best for same-day decisions.

How the island-wide figures work

Island-wide numbers here are the highest of the five regional readings (the worst case for a rider), shown with the region it comes from. This is our own calculation, so we don't call it an official national PSI. The 1-hr PM2.5 tile also shows NEA's national figure when the feed gives one.

How the ride verdict works

Worst reading wins. Cannot ride: 24-hr PSI above 200 or 1-hr PM2.5 above 120 µg/m³. Tone down (shorten and slow down): PSI above 150 or 1-hr PM2.5 above 85 µg/m³. Can ride: anything below those. Weather: raining now (NEA rain gauges in your area, last 5 minutes) means cannot ride, even if the air is fine. Rain forecast in the next 2 hours with otherwise good air shows May rain. Fair weather changes nothing. These limits are set by this site's owner and are more relaxed than NEA's own bands, which already advise healthy people to cut back from PSI 101 and from 1-hr PM2.5 56. The advisory table below shows NEA's wording. No verdict when data is demo, older than 4 hours or missing.

Update frequency & limits

  • Readings are hourly. "Current" means within 90 minutes, "Delayed" up to 4 hours, then "Stale".
  • Five regions are broad. The air on your route can be different.
  • History depends on what the API returns. Gaps stay gaps, we never fill in.
  • Air readings are measured data; there is no haze forecast. Weather forecasts are NEA's own.
  • "Raining" comes from rain gauges, so a shower between gauges can be missed. Check the radar.
  • Radar is a coarse picture (about 2 km per pixel) and can lag; it shows where rain is, not where it is going.
